New Year's Day on the Beach

The last few new year’s I’ve realized that the girls and I always make our way to the beach. I think we’ve made it an unofficial custom but now I think it’s officially our thing.

We had a lazy morning at the house and then we packed up and took a little drive to Naples. My goal was to spend the afternoon on the beach and catch a beautiful Southwest Florida sunset but, between the wind and our appetites, we didn’t make it all the way until sunset.

For Floridians, I’m ashamed to say we don’t make it to the beach as much as we should (I think the last time I was on the beach might have been in fact, last new year’s day) but as the day is set aside for goal setting and intentions, that might be a good place to start; have more days on the beach with my girls.
