Mommy and Me Little Princess Spa and Self Care Birthday

When I asked Lucy what she wanted to do for her birthday this year, she mentioned that she wanted to have a Mommy and Me Spa Day. Basically, she wanted to have her mama all to herself while treating herself to some self care and pampering.

Lately, whenever I ask the girls what they want to do, especially for their birthdays, they mention that they want to have a Mommy & Me day (without their sisters) and I think it’s so cute. I’m my mother’s only child so I grew up not having to share my mother, and possibly having a little bit of Only Child Syndrome, so I don’t realize how much the girls want their one one time with me. I’m getting better at having quality time with each of them but it’s been a learning process to understand how their needs are different than mine.

For our Mommy and Me Day, I gave Lucy a few options and decided to go to Little Princess Spa for some quality time and pampering. We had the whole place to ourselves and I can’t get over the little smirk she had on the whole time we were there.

We started the day with Lucy opening up presents (that her sisters wrapped up) and Facetiming with family and friends. She was so excited to start her day.

I love that the girls are equally excited for each other’s birthdays as they are for their own.

Do you notice a certain theme for her birthday gifts?

When we got to the Little Princess Spa, we were greeted by friendly “fairies” who served us pink lemonade and had us slip into comfy robes so we could start our spa treatments. Lucy got pampered with a massage and then she moved on to getting her hair styled. I think her fun hairstyle was my favorite part.
