Kids Birthday Parties: Florida Style

This past weekend Julia was invited to, not one, but two birthday parties. Although we couldn’t make it to both of them, she had such a good time at the one we were able to attend and, although we had a busy weekend with a baby shower up north in Tampa as well, I was reminded (again) of why I love living in Florida, especially as a mom.

In typical Florida fashion, this was a pool party. As soon as we got there, Julia jumped into the pool with her friends. There was tons of floaties and pool noodles for the kids, too. Then, of course, there was a bounce house. I feel like no kids’ birthday party is complete without one. The kids stuffed their faces with hot dogs, hamburgers and lots of sweets- which gave them all the energy they needed to swim and bounce all day.

It’s weekends like this that remind me why we made the move to Florida; great weather, the kids in a pool with their friends, spending lots of time outdoors and just being a kid having fun.
